Q: How do I sign up for SmartRent?
A: Every resident who rents in an eligible community is automatically enrolled. You do not have to do anything to enroll!
Q: Do I get credit for the entire
time I’ve been renting?
A: Once you sign a lease with an eligible Marquette rental community, credits representing 20% of every dollar of rent you have paid while living in an eligible community will be “banked” in your Smart Rent account. Current residents’ credits will be retroactive to the original date they started renting at an eligible Marquette community.
Q: What happens to the credits
if I move out of an eligible property?
A: If you move into another qualified Marquette rental community, your SmartRent credits move with you. Should you choose to move outside of the eligible communities, after 180 days your SmartRent credits will be forfeited.
Q: How soon can I use my SmartRent credits
to purchase a home?
A: SmartRent credits are available for use after your first full lease term.
Q: How many credits can I apply
to a down payment?
A: None. SmartRent credits cannot be used for a down payment. They are for the reduction of purchase price (where allowed), closing costs, upgrades or assessments where applicable.
